Spheros
Ozobots
Stem Initiatives
A Sphero is a little sphere robot that you can control from your phone or tablet. Spheros can be "driven" by using controls on a phone or tablet app. They can also be progammed by using drag-and-drop coding. We use many layers of code, depndeing on who is using the Spheros, in our gifted classes. Our most challenging activity is to program the Spheros to trace a tape track using time, distance, and speed variables.
Ozobots are compact line-tracing robots. We mostly program Ozobots by carefully drawing code on papers and posterboards.
STEM Initiatives
Among the many STEM activities that we do in our classroom every year, working with Snap Circuits has to be one of our favorites! This year, we borrowed Snap Circuits Light kits from the IU 1 Lending LIbrary!
